Blog Tour: At The Corner of Magnetic and Main

At The Corner of Magnetic and Main by Meg Welch Dendler

Penny knows that a scoop of your favorite ice cream fixes just about any problem you might have! Your day is always better while eating your favorite flavor of ice cream even if you’re dead!

blog tourPenny is a ghost who died back in the 50’s when she was 17. Since that day she’s been in haunting a diner severing ice cream to ghost on their way to passing over. Penny’s smiling face and bright green eyes are the last thing people before they go off into the light. Penny thinks she has missed her chance but is okay with that because she’s happy where she is. Where people dead and alive need her.

Jake is a rebel without a cause. He dies after a motorcycle accident and ends up in the diner staring into Penny’s pretty eyes eating the chocolate ice cream she severed him but when he feels the light start to come for him he shuts it down not ready to leave. Now he’s stuck here with the living in Penny’s town and causing all sorts of problems in the town and that’s not all he might even but causing dear little Penny’s heart some problems too.

Jake turns Penny’s afterlife upside down trying to get her to live a little even though she keeps reminding her they aren’t alive. Jake is determined to get Penny out of that dinner and go on a trip with him out to explore, but that’s not what Penny wants or needs but it might just help open her eyes to what she does need. Penny’s heat is so big and she thinks she needs to be around to help take care of everyone else but she needs to realize that she needs to start thinking and caring about herself now.

This book isn’t what I expected but I absolutely loved it! Meg Welch Dendler’s writing is wonderful. At The Corner of Magnetic and Main is a book that will make you think and feel so many different emotions. This isn’t a book for light reading! You’ll connect with this book and Penny. You will rejoice at the end when Penny finally lets go of all her responsibilities and finally gets the ending she deserves… or maybe the new beginning she deserves!

I give this book 4 stars and one thumbs up! It’s a great read and I know you’ll all enjoy it.

Until Next Time! Read on and Enjoy!

Morgan 🙂
